He was predeceased by: his parents, Mr John Henry Williams and Bessie Hill Williams; and his siblings, Johnnie Ruth Burroughs, Sarah Rush and Charles Williams.

He is survived by: his children, Angela Grissett, Heather Grissett of Conway, SC, Lajada Sherman, Johnny Lee Williams and Kristerpher Williams; his grandsons, Grissett Ahsien, Jabreiveon, Tygee, Raymond and Kamorion; his siblings, Bobby Hill of Jacksonville Florida, James David Williams (Cheria), Joe Earl Williams (Cheryl), Deloris Ann Bryant of Conway, SC, Cynthia Ann Williams of Conway, SC and Gussie Mae Isom of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sister-in-law Vangeline Williams Thank; and his cousin Reggie Hill. He is also survived by nephews, nieces relatives and friends.
