It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Sherwood Boyd Sr. of Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on November 20, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leston Sherwood and Ruth Fayette Gore Boyd; and his sister Joanne Boyd Wythe. He is survived by: his wife Janette Lewis Boyd of Conway; his children, Teresa Boyd Butler (Keith) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Leon S. Boyd, Jr. (Pam) of Conway, Bryan Lee Boyd (Tammy) of Conway and Carol R. Boyd of Conway; his grandchildren, Beth Boyd Johnson of Conway, Bryan Boyd (Stephanie) of Conway, Erica Boyd Rehorn (Austin) of Mt. Pleasant, Leon S. "Buddy" Boyd, III (Jordyn) of Conway and Jeremy Boyd (Jaimee) of Conway; his children, Caleb Boyd of Conway, Brynn Layne (Doug) of Mebane, NC, Carole Lee Butler of Los Angeles, CA, Jess Glasgow of Conway and Brent Glasgow of Columbia, SC; and his brother Leonard D. Boyd of Houston, TX.. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
