He was predeceased by : his parents, Van Butler and Letha Butler; and his son Levan Butler Jr.. He is survived by : his children, James Butler (Miriam), Eddie L. Butler, Chellen M. Butler and Francine; and his close friends, Lavern Myers, George Myers, Dan Myers Jr., Melvin Corbitt of Burgess and Johnny "Fox" Wright of Pawleys Island.
