She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Alston and Margaret B. Alston; her sister Peggy; her brother-in-law Hilirie Powell; her brother Samuel; her sister-in-law Devetta Alston; and her great grandchild Noir Alston.
She is survived by: her children, Brian C. Alston of Portsmouth, VA and Lashell Simmons of Kingsland, Georgia; her sisters, Lorraine Burrough, Sarah King, Lucinda Whitfield, Betty Alston and Priscilla Dunikins; her brother-in-law Judson Whitfield (JT); and her aunt Ovaletta Alston. She is also survived by 0 grandchildren, I3 Great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.
