Marlene Harrah Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Harrah of Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth "Joe" Ashworth and Maude E. "Jimmy" Moses Ashworth; her husband Jerry "J. D." Harrah; her daughter Rebecca Lynn; her grandson Bryant Gregory; and her sister Karen Scragg.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Gregory Harrah (Mary) of Scott Depot, WV, Nancy Salkeld (David) of Cary, NC and Dr. Jason Harrah (Lauren) of Conway, SC; her grandchildren, Arrow Salkeld (Helen), Benjamin Salkeld (Molly Dedmond), William Nettles, Sophia Harrah and Kathryn Harrah; her brother David Ashworth (Diane); and her siblings-in-law, Charles Harrah (Peggy) and Dianne Harrah. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV 25526). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
