He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Jenny" Godwin of Conway; his children, Shawn Godwin (Nikki) of Myrtle Beach, Candy Woods (Mark) of Myrtle Beach and Niki Traylor (Chris) of Evansville, IN; his grandchildren, Kylie, Gwyn, Marshall, Sydney, Courtney Traylor, Sabrina and Simone Godwin; his brother Donald Godwin (Jeannette); and his aunts, Ethel Davis, Lou Culler and Pat Skipper.
