It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Holmes of Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Bud Hyman and Lula Jane Johnson Hyman; her husband David H. Holmes; and her siblings, Lon Hyman, J. B. Hyman, Herman Hyman, Grettie Johnson, Carrie Hucks, Wilou Pace, Genewood Johnson, Ethelee Johnson, Fancy Gore, Betty Jo Singleton and Eloise Hughes.

She is survived by : her son David "Mike" Holmes (Kimberly) of Conway; her grandson Joel Brandon Greist (Bethany) of Rhode Island; and her great grandchildren, Julian, Ethan and Noah.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Good Hope Baptist Church (6101 Privetts Rd, Conway, SC 29526). A reception was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
