Michael Dan Prosser Obituary

We announce the death of Michael Dan Prosser of Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 73. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Refus Prosser and Neva Sanders Prosser; and his siblings, Elizabeth Prosser, Lynette Tanner, Carrie Lee Prosser, Jane Gore, Tommy Prosser, Clarence Prosser, Franklin Prosser and Thomas "Tom" Mitchell Prosser.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Hardee Prosser; his children, Nicole P. Hyman, Natalie P. Dorman (Shawn) and Michael Prosser (Susannah); his grandchildren, Jay Hyman, Carly Hyman, Colby Dorman, Emmy Dorman, Shelby Prosser, Ford Prosser and Neva Prosser; his brother Willis Prosser (Linda) of Pamplico; his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Prosser of Johns Island and Edwina Prosser of Columbia; his niece Sandra Gore Tsunoda (Wayne); his nephew Tucker Gore; and his friend Kip Miller. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to conservation law enforcement, he was named South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Officer of the Year in 2000.
