She was predeceased by: her parents, Linwood Douglas Jr. and Marilyn Haynes Owens; her husband Stanley Steven McKinney; her son-in-law Brady Appleton; her brother Michael Douglas; her parents-in-law, Clarence McKinney and Ernestine McKinney; her sister Renee Vertolli; her brother-in-law Johnny Vertolli; her brother Charlie Owens Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Nadine Owens and David Mann.
She is survived by: her children, Ray McElroy (Mandy) and Terri Appleton; her sister Delores Skura (Joseph); and her siblings-in-law, Vicky Mann and Marcus McKinney (Valerie). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.
