He was predeceased by: his parents, Winston Lee and Virginia Bellamy Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Rider Thompson; his son Troy R. Thompson (Starr); his sisters, Cindy Grisolano (John) and Judy Hayden; his grandchildren, Thomas Dawson IV, Lake Alford and Lillian Thompson; and his great grandchild Thomas Dawson V.
