He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhardt Scheel and Ora Scheel (Stowe); his parents-in-law, Stanley and Iva Stevens; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Stevens and Ella Stevens.

He is survived by: his pet Blue; his wife Snooks; his daughters, Rochelle Guastella (Joe) of Sun Prairie, WI and Jennifer Levenhagen (Jeff) of Woodbury, MN; his grandchildren, Chad Guastella (Elena), Jaclyn Guastella, Brett Levenhagen, Norah Levenhagen and Iris Levenhagen; his great grandchildren, Giada and Enzo Guastella; and his nephews, Kai Hemenway (Len), James Stevens (Lynn Anderson), Eric Stevens (Cynthia) and Scott Shella-Stevens (Belinda Manolis).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Arlington Curling Club (PO Box 224, Arlington, WI 53911) in Whitey's memory.
