She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Snape and Roseida Lindo Snape; her husband Vonnie Chestnut; her daughter-in-law Annette Chestnut; and her granddaughter Sonja Fann.

She is survived by : her children, Ronald Chestnut, Linda Jackson and Karen Chestnut; and her grandchildren, Kelly Gasque (Don), Jared Walker (Becky), Dawn Gladney (Jamie), Shawn Chestnut, Jessica Robinson, Brandon Townley (Julie), Bobbie Jo Walter (Mike) and Tonya Brugman (Brian). She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
