He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jennifer Scharr Oakley; his sons, Samuel Harrison Oakley (Kelly) and Bradford Scharr Oakley (Catie); his grandchildren, Kaia Oakley, Kora Oakley, Flynn Oakley and Alexandra Oakley; his sister-in-law Barbara Oakley; his parents, Edmund Harrison and Jeane Sutherland Oakley; and his siblings, Harrison Clark Oakley and Nancy Oakley Ratner. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
