He is survived by: his wife Elsie Lee Smith; his sons, Daron Smith (Tonya) and Tony King; his stepchildren, Terry Harrington (Trixie) and Steve Harrington (Regina); his siblings, Bobby Joe Smith (Bonnie), Lonnie Smith (Athene), Debbie Wilburn (Robert) and Wanda Cox (Terry); his grandchildren, Gage Smith, Lane Smith, Victoria Morgan (Kenny), Travis King (Linsey) and Lauren King; and his stepgrandchildren, Brooke Martin (Brandon), Kasey Ward (Judson), Nicholas Harrington (Caitlin) and Trent Harrington.
