He was predeceased by: his parents, Gar Lee and Eva Evelyn Strickland Rowell; his daughter Margo "GoGo" Rowell; and his siblings, Jimmy Rowell, Roger Rowell, Jerry Rowell, Eunice Soles, Margaret Herring and Geraldine Shultz.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Rowell of Conway; his children, Tracy Rowell (Nancy) of Georgetown, SC, Ryan Rowell of Conway, Angela Rush (Rick) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Debbie Barnhill (Robbie) of Loris, SC; his siblings, Dewey Lee Rowell (Sara) of Georgia and Joyce Ann Buffkin (Wayne) of Chadbourn, NC; and his niece Tammy Cox of Green Sea, SC.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel (606 Beaty St, Conway, SC 29526). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
