It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Spain (Conway, South Carolina), who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Mary Hutchinson Spain. He is survived by: his siblings, Mazie Brown (Charles), Gloria Spain, Sandor Spain (Marilyn), David Spain (Rosemay), Malcolm Spain, Teddy Spain (Charlene), Douglas Spain and Robert Spain (Susan); his adoptive parents, Phoebe Reese, Jeff Alston, Anderson Hasty, James C. Johinson and Edward McKenzie; and his sisters-in-law, Gloria W. and Emma Spain.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem #1 Missionary Baptist Church (1503 Dirty Branch Rd, Conway, SC 29527). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at the Sandridge Community Cemetery.
