He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Cantey and Louise Cantey; and his siblings, Samuel Allen Cantey and Mary Cantey Smith. He is survived by: his wife Letha P. Cantey; his sons, Marcus Cantey of Conway, SC and Rashad Cade of Florence, SC; his stepdaughter Letha Scott; his grandchildren, Quentin Greene (Latisha) of Chesapeake, VA, Nyra Scott of Greenville, SC, Lecksley Gore (George), Jamiee Scott of Columbia, SC and Kevin Lewis of Conway, SC; his siblings, Johnny Lee Cantey of Marion, SC, Larry Cantey of Charlotte, NC, Julia Lee Billiym of Columbia, SC, Beulah Kay Brantley (Oscar) of Marion, SC, Patsy Mae Watson (Alvin) of Charlotte, NC, Debria Weston (Mark) and Karen Cantey of Columbia, SC; and his close friend Avery Quick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.
