She was predeceased by : her parents, Grover C. Tompkins, Sr. and Frances Harrelson Tompkins; her daughter Paula Varner; and her siblings, Grover C. Tompkins, Jr. and Mary Frances Tompkins Finger.
She is survived by : her close friend Harry Parler; her daughter Melissa Leasure; her stepchildren, Efrem Parler, Daisy Parler, Alicia Parler, Harry Williams and Tonya Holmes; her son-in-law Vic Varner; her brother George H. Tompkins (Susan); and her brother-in-law Carl Finger. She is also survived by four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a number of step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
