She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold Potts and Sudie McDuffie Potts; and her son William Edward Melvin. She is survived by : her husband Rea F. Ottinger; her daughters, Michelle Faircloth and Sudie Carter (Billy); her stepsons, Aaron Ottinger (Gina) and David Ottinger; her sister Teresa Hammond (Roger); her grandchildren, Sheena Carter, Stacy Carter, Billy Carter, II (Chapel), Aaron Ottinger, Jr., Chance and Dalton Melvin; and her great grandchildren, Jermine, Sabrina, Faith, Sammie and Breeze.
