He was predeceased by: his son Johnny James Dease; his grandsons, Dewayne Harrington and Ridge Dease; and his brothers, Jimmy Albert Dease, Aaron Dease, Donald Dease and Reverend Ronald Dease.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Lynch Dease of Coward; his children, Crystal Dease and Little Wade Dease (Heidi); his grandchildren, Candice Dease, J. J. Dease, Maisee Dease Barrett (Jacob), Whyat Dease, Cassidy Harrington (Matthew Grimsley) and Mary Olivia Harrington; and his siblings, Brachel Dease, Rachel Dease, Ann Everette (Wade) and Sarah Nettles (Clayton). He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family.
