He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Turner and Myrtle Turner; his former wife Rosa Forrester Turner; his wife Easter Turner; and his son David Wayne Turner.

He is survived by: his children, Jackie A. Alawi (Nassar) of Cowpens, SC, Nancy White (Scott) of Alabama, Bobby Turner of Alabama and Julie Haupt (Dennis) of Alabama.
