It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Rice Franklin (Cowpens, South Carolina), born in Caroleen, North Carolina, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Sherman Rice and Ethel Mae Allen Rice; her husbands, Rev. Homer Eugene Franklin and Calvary Baptist Church of Cowpens, SC.; her son Stephen Anthony Franklin; and her siblings, Louise McDaniel and James Rice.

She is survived by : her children, Tim Franklin (Cindy) of Lawrenceville, Deborah F. Logan (Charlie) of Jacksonville, FL and Loretta Franklin of Boiling Springs, SC; and her grandchildren, Kenny Arthur, Ben Arthur, Jonathan Logan, April Wyatt, Philip Logan, Joshua Franklin, Stephen Franklin and Brandon Franklin. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
