He was predeceased by: his parents, James William "Bill" Hesselgrave and Marion Edith Hesselgrave (Comesky) of Valley Cottage, NY; and his brother James Curtis Hesselgrave. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee; his children, Ceili Elizabeth Hesselgrave and James Leo Hesselgrave; and his sisters, Sarah Swift (Hesselgrave) of Holland and Faith Ferguson (Thomas) of Greenfield. He is also survived by several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial donations be made to either The Tunnels to Towers Foundation (t2t.org) or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org). T2T supports catastrophically injured veterans, first responders, and their families as they transition through hard times.
