She was predeceased by: her parents, Nannie Mae Roark and Ralph Emerson Bolton; and her spouse Jesse T. Horne of Jonesville, SC. She is survived by: her siblings, Cora Burgess (Mary) of Annis Burgess, R. E., Frank Bolton (Debbie), Juanita Bolton and Lillian Lewis; her daughter Rita Chapman; her granddaughter Mary Burgess; her children, Regina Burgess, LaJuan Ariail, Ricky Burgess (Connie), Robbie Burgess (Juanita) and Rex Burgess; her grandchildren, Dorian Burgess, Joshua Gilmer, Aaron Burgess, Justin Burgess, Houston Mims, Dawn Boggero and Heather Johnson; and her adoptive daughter Scarlet Muir. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Cross Hill (761 N Main St, Cross Hill, SC 29332). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Baptist Church Cemetery (761 N Main St, Cross Hill, SC 29332).
