He is survived by: his wife Frances Gray Simpson; his children, Shannon Milligan (David) of Greer, SC, Leah Gaston (Jim) of Franklin, NC and Joseph Simpson (Hope) of Cross Hill; his grandchildren, Kathleen, Anna, Joshua, Caroline, Gloria Milligan, Pearl Gaston, Jackson and Iris Simpson; and his siblings, Wilford Simpson (Jan) of Florala, AL, Sue Forsyth of Cross Hill and Bruce Simpson (Dot) of Clinton, SC..
