He was predeceased by: his parents, John James Jackson, Jr. and Phelis Alvin Taylor Jackson; and his brother John D. "Butch" Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Medders-Jackson; his daughters, Ashley Jackson of Awendaw and Shannon Jackson of Awendaw; his stepson Shawn Medders (Marie) of Moncks Corner; his sister Joyce Waters of Summerville; and his nephew Steve Waters.
