He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Joseph Johnson and Cillian Johnson of Cross; and his siblings, Joseph Johnson Jr., Moses Johnson, Elizabeth Gerideau, Lula Mae Huger and Mary "Peg" Senni Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Johnson; his children, Sandra Johnson and Larry Johnson of Stratford, CT; his brother Peter Johnson (Delores) of Cross, SC; his sister-in-law Eva Johnson of Miami, FL.; his granddaughters, Christina Pane-Johnson of Easton, Pennsylvania and Totiana Pane-Shack of Easton, Pennsylvania; and his great grandchildren, Tahiem Pane and RJ Pane. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the English Chapel Cathedral (285 Wilmot Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06607).
