Jessie L. Garrett Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jessie L. Garrett of Cross, South Carolina, who passed away on September 25, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jessie L. Garrett to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jackson and Annie Lee Weatherford Jackson; her sister Lottie Bell Scott; and her husband Virgil Monroe Garrett. She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Clark (Mark) of Cross, SC and Virgil Garrett (Denise) of Cross, SC; her sisters, Mattie Bolen of Eutaw Springs, SC, Hattie Gainey of Eutaw Springs, SC and Minnie Infinger (John) of Holly Hill, SC.; and her pet Muffin. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pressley Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church (1689 County Line Rd, Cross, SC 29436). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 278, Cross, SC 29436, or to the WM at Pressley Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2584 Mudville Rd., Cross, SC 29436.
