He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Vaughn and Willie Mae Benbow Vaughn; his daughter Janise; and his siblings, Jerry Benbow, Henry Vaughn, James Vaughn and Elias "Tee" Vaughn.
He is survived by: his significant other Doris Elaine Vaughn; his significant other's child Juannetta; his grandchildren, Shantenise (Sekou), Kia (Geremy), Jaron, Daijah and Deuce (Lyric); and his siblings, Marie Loney, Bertie Nathaniel, Janie English (Andrew) and Walter Vaughn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whites Mortuary (517 N Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Joshua Baptist Church (5200 Live Oak Rd, Dalzell, SC 29040). A burial was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
