She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward "Buck" Snipes and Grace Flowers Snipes; and her grandson Jonah Byrd. She is survived by: her husband Lee Odell Byrd; her son Christopher Lee Byrd; her grandsons, Brendan Byrd and Thomas Byrd; her daughter Crystel Byrd; her great grandchild Mica Outz; and her sisters, Irene Smith (Ray) and Dorothy Dewitt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
