He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Odom Burr Taylor and Vernon Lindsay Burr. He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Burr of Lexington, SC, Angie Burr of Florence, SC and Sharon Burr of Florence, SC; his grandchildren, Jonathan Lee Burr of Florence and Nicole Burr of Florence; his great grandchild Bryson Lee Ivey of Florence; and his sister Ann B. Holladay of Florence.

Because he was an avid supporter of St. Jude's himself, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
