He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Primes and Lottie Toney Primes; his children, Yvette Primes, Jessie B. Scott, Steve Primes and Stanley Primes; and his siblings, Robert, Albert, George, Joseph, Annie Mae Wilson, Margaret Crayton, Martha Mansfield and Easter Glass.
He is survived by: his close friend Mary Agnes Williams; his children, Barbara McCullum Sowell (Willie) of Brooklyn, NY, Olean Blyther of Sumter, SC, Susie Conyers (William) of Savannah, GA, Patricia Lucas (Walter) of Bishopville, SC, Betty Jean Primes of Lynchburg, SC, Jimmy Primes of Elliott, SC, Bobby Rydall Primes (Sharon) of Lynchburg, SC and Tyrone Primes (Kim) of Maysville, SC; his sister Mary Mungin of Elliott, SC; his daughters-in-law, Rebecca A. Primes, Linda Primes and Evonne Young; his caregivers, Karla Williams and Kenneth Williams; and also Angelia Thomas. He is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren; fifty-seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (1372 Pocket Rd, Darlington, SC 29532). Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 208 April Dr, Darlington, SC 29532. A burial was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at the Cemetery of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (1372 Pocket Rd, Darlington, SC 29532).
