He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Satterfield and Fannie Ceronia Carder Satterfield; his great grandchild Taylor Britt; and his brothers, Glenn Satterfield and J. C. Satterfield.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Howle (Mike) of Darlington, Janice Britt (Al) of Darlington and Carl Satterfield, Jr. (Tonya) of Summerville; his grandchildren, Mandy Dargan (James), Matthew Howle (Brittany), Mason Howle (Lacey), Josh Britt, Abbie Britt, Trevor and Jacob Satterfield; and his sister Ruth Parker of Dahlonega, GA.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
