He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel Stokes and Thelma Blackwell Poston; his wife Leora Clements Stokes; and his brother Johnny "Ace" Stokes. He is survived by : his daughter Cindy Hanniford (Ronnie); his grandson Dange; his great grandchild Daniel Hanniford; his pet Champ; and his cousin Gwen Blackwell Newton.
