It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Phillips of Darlington, South Carolina, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on September 10, 2021, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Cecil and Myrtis Marion Connor Phillips. He is survived by: his nephew Jonathan "Derek" Simmons; his siblings, Anthony Quinn, Karen Lynette Little (Chip) and Crystal Ann Phillips; his close friend Renee Pearson Taylor; his nieces and nephews, Amber Renee Devane, Taylor Ann Sheldon, Jacob Collins Devane and Carolyn Mae Quinn; and his great-niece Arya Renee Sheldon.
David was always willing to help those around him and that showed by his contracting COVID while giving blood to help patients.
