He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McElveen and Luvenia Harrison McElveen of Florence, SC.; his daughter Joyce Renee McElveen; his siblings, Betty McElveen, Almena Moses (Johnny) of Darlington, SC, Mary Lee of Darlington, SC, Viola Johnson (Willie) of Hartsville, SC, Sturvine Kelly (John) of Darlington, SC, Kathleen McElveen of Darlington, SC, Lurie Dorsey (Vincent) of Raleigh, NC, Edna Nichols (Otis) of Hartsville, SC, Steve McElveen (Rosella) of Darlington, SC and Robert McElveen (Cynthia) of Darlington, SC; his former wife Sara J. McElveen; and his sister Linda McElveen McDaniel.

He is survived by: his spouse Sister Betty Warren of Darlington, SC.; his children, Terry McElveen (Joyce) of Hartsville, SC, Carol Howard (Michael) of Florence, SC, Eric McElveen (Audrey) of Darlington, SC and Kimberly McElveen of Darlington, SC; his grandchildren, Latoya, Chaddrick, Courtney, Cameron, Shequella, Shanelle, Whitlee, Ashlee, DeAndre, Michael, Antwan and Cherish; his great grandchildren, Christinee, Zariah, Conner and Kameron; his stepchildren, Cassandra A. McCray of Darlington, SC and Gregory McCray of Loganville, Georgia; his brother-in-law Tommy McDaniel of Darlington, SC; and his aunts and uncles, Ida Mae Burch, Ella Mae Harrison, Margaret Harrison, Azilee Jefferson, Deloris Hughes, AundrieGilliam, Minister Eugene McElveen (Helen), Carl McElveen (Carrie Lee) and William McElveen (Geraldine). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, the McElveen Family is having a card drop-off/drive by on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm at the Salvation Temple Holiness Church.
