It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Duane Powell of Darlington, South Carolina, born in Springfield, Ohio, who passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Timothy Curtis and Clara Ellen Meacham Powell; his siblings, Merill, Emmanuel, Timothy Leland (Bill), Clayton Powell (Shug), Mattie Oakley, Iola Foster and Dessie Gilbert; his grandsons, Cody Storms and Jeremy Risner; his great grandchild Alannah Williams; and his son-in-law Mark Legg.

He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Powell of Burlington, NC.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
