He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Colgate Dennis, Jr. and Jane Hill McKinnon Dennis; his father-in-law Harold Jaillette; and his wife Ann Jaillette Dennis. He is survived by: his children, Edward Colgate "Pete" Dennis, IV (Judy) and Elizabeth "Bess" Harry (Brice); his grandchildren, Laurel Ann Dennis, John Edward "Jed" Dennis, Wilson Elizabeth Harry and Clara Louise Harry; his sister Lacy D. Chapman; and his siblings-in-law, Harold "Hoss" Jaillette, Sam Jaillette (Connie) and Mary J. Altman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
