He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Pete Yates and Maggie Parker Yates; his wife Cherrill Yates; and his siblings, Larry, Hoyt, Ernest, Raymond Yates, Christine Bennett and Lillian Morley.

He is survived by: his son Kenneth; his daughter-in-law Christina Yates; his grandchildren, Jackson, Ivey, Bryan and Elliott Yates; and his caregivers, Ashley and Stacey.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to a charity of your choice in Elbert's memory.
