George Dalton Caples Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2025, at the age of 76, George Dalton Caples of Darlington, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Henry and Georgianna Gainey Caples; his wife Maureen Caples; his sons, Tracy and Jimmy; and his stepson Lewis (Tina Lancto).
He is survived by: his children, Jay Caples (Teresa) of Sumter and Tammy Gardner of Camden; his stepchildren, Lori Newman (Ian), Billy Lancto (Eileen) and Randy Lancto; and his siblings, Danny Caples (Phyllis), Donnie Caples and Wanda Smith (Stewart). He is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home - Darlington (315 Pearl St, Darlington, SC 29532).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Darlington County Humane Society.
