He was predeceased by: his parents, George Parnell Sr. and Helen Hood Parnell; and his brother-in-law Billy Joe Hodge. He is survived by: his son Keith Parnell (Jolynn); his grandchildren, Brandon Parnell (Miranda), KaDee Parnell, Tobin Thompson (Jurmie) and Taylor Deas (Kendrick McCall); his sister Linda Faye Hodge "Pig"; and his nieces and nephews, Melissa Griggs, Wendy Lintvedt, Michelle Collins, Joey Hodge and DeeDee Chisolm.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Belk Funeral Home (229 W Broad St, Darlington, SC 29532). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Free Will Baptist Bible Church (316 Orange St, Darlington, SC 29532).
