James Anthony will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cecil Parrott and Emma Jean Scipio Parrott; and his brother Calvin B. Parrott. He is survived by: his children, Valerie B. Crawford (Heath), Kecia J. Lathon, Derrick D. Parrott and James Anthony Parrott, Jr. (Rebecca); his sisters, Tanya Parrott Davis (Brian) and Rita C. Parrott; and his sister-in-law Barbara Parrott. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Florence Military Cemetery (803 E National Cemetery Rd, Florence, SC 29506).
