He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Atkinson and Ethel Mae Atkinson; and his siblings, Marion Atkinson and Jean Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Linda Smith Atkinson; his children, Greg Atkinson (Anitra), Jeff Atkinson (Faith), Michelle McLaughlin and Bryan Atkinson (Erica); his grandchildren, MacKenzie Atkinson, Riley Atkinson, Hunter McLaughlin, Abby Atkinson, Emma Kate McLaughlin, Claire Atkinson, Seth Atkinson and Sarah Atkinson; and his sister Nancy Corbett (James).
