James Dixon Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Dixon of Darlington, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Dixon and E. J. Dixon of Middendorf. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Melette Dixon; his sons, Zachary Dixon (Kelly) and Jeremy Dixon; his siblings, Claudia Nettles (Stephen), Gloria Bladel (Chris), Emmett Dixon and William Dixon (Carlene); his nieces, Cassie Evans (Jarett) and Abby Winburn (Garret); his mother-in-law Barbara Gainey Hall; and his grandsons, Jackson Wallace, Mason Dixon and Grayson Dixon.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hartsville Church of God (704 Lakeview Blvd, Hartsville, SC 29550).

Memorials may be made to the home of Barbara Dixon.
