She was predeceased by: her parents, Laverne Pope and Lila Mae Jones Pope; and her siblings, Jennings Pope, Janice Odom, Jake Pope, Laverne "June Bug" Pope, Richard Pope, Elaine P. Williams and Faye P. Knotts.

She is survived by: her husband John Richard "Dick" Godley; her children, Kim Rivas (Romeo) of Darlington, Charlotte Austin (Steve) of Savannah, GA, Marisa Barretine of Savannah, GA and Sean Godley of Knoxville; her grandchildren, Savannah Nikolakakos, Isabelle Rivas, Jessica Godley and Stevie Jayne Austin; her great grandchildren, Braden, Michael and David; and her siblings, Vermelle Parnell, Edward Pope (Millie), Luke Pope, Dorsey Pope, Roland Pope and Gerald Pope (Sarah). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
