Patrick Shane Robinson Obituary

Piedmont, South Carolina Patrick Shane Robinson, aka "Poppa Shane" of Piedmont, S.C. passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023. He was 51 years old. Shane was born on July, 13 1972 to Joe Robinson and Wanda Childers in Greenville.

Shane had a personality that could only be best described as larger than life and he never met a stranger. He always opened up his home to family and friends alike, because if you were his friend, you were most definitely his family. Fond memories from loved ones include many activities he cherished such as watching his grandchildren play a variety of sports, playing pool, golf, karaoke, hanging out at the drag strip, hosting dinners to celebrate holidays and birthdays of loved ones, vacationing at the beach, breakfast at the Waffle House, and letting people know he was arriving with his sound system as the front runner.

Shane is survived by his wife Heather Robinson of Piedmont. While Shane may not have fathered any biological children, Shane was a phenomenal father to many children that he claimed, loved and raised to prove that genetics are not necessary to make a true patriarch such as he was April (Chase) Adair, Hannah (Jeremy) Turner, Nathan Georgia, Jimmy (Marissa) Neves, Tristan (Blake) Richard, Dakota Young, Blaze (Taylor) Fortner, William Georgia. Shane's grandchildren who knew him affectionately as Poppa Shane were the pride and joy of his life.

Grandchildren: Jonathan Adair, Carson Turner, Zoe Adair, Benton Adair, Maize Collins, Brennan Adair, River Carter, Chandler Adair, Davina Georgia, Benjamin Turner, Abigail Richard, Kyson Neves, Jr Richard, Marlee Fortner, Kolton Neves. Sisters: Jessica (Mikey) Rodriquez, Christie (David) Brink, Heather Childers Sorensen. In addition, several beloved nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
