Roy L. Martin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy L. Martin of Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Roy may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Roy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert L. Martin and June H. Martin. He is survived by: his wife Terry B. Martin; his children, Melanie Hinson (Charles) of Darlington and Justin B. Martin (Hannah) of Lexington, SC.; and his granddaughters, Lily H. Hayes (Blake) of Darlington, SC, Annika Martin and Freya Martin of Lexington, SC.. He is also survived by His three sisters in law and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 1004 Whippoorwill Dr, Darlington, SC 29532. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grove Hill Cemetery (405 S Warley St, Darlington, SC 29532).
