It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Shawn Jay Dougherty (Darlington, South Carolina), who passed away at the age of 57, on May 24, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Dougherty and Claire Dougherty. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Pierson Dougherty; his son Tristan J. Dougherty of Columbia, SC; his stepsons, Hunter Dewitt (Allyssa) of Florence and Colin Dewitt of Darlington, SC; his grandchildren, Becca and Ella; and his sisters, Sharon Turner (Calvin David) of Summerville, SC and Debbie Wimberly (David) of Summerton, SC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home (315 Pearl St, Darlington, SC 29532). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Point Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CJD Foundation, the Florence Area Humane Society and Mcleod Hospice House.
