With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tommy Ike Douglas of Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on May 18, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Douglas and Jimorus Drayton Douglas; and his siblings, Oscar Douglas, John Henry Douglas, James Edward Douglas, Herman Douglas, Jonny Ike Douglas and Bernice Harrison.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Douglas; his sons, Travis Bernard Douglas and Tommy Edward Douglas; his granddaughter Lilah Anya Douglas; and his sister Mary Arsenia Isaac. He is also survived by several sisters and brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 134 Thompson Dr, Society Hill, SC 29593. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethesda Baptist Church (208 Church St, Society Hill, SC 29593). A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery (208 Church St, Society Hill, SC 29593).
