It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kendell Smith in Denmark, South Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Kendell may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kendell touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Shep" Smith and Orita Smith; and his siblings, Ellis F., Frankie and Landis.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Sieg-Smith; his children, Hoyt, Ellis S. (Julie), Melanie and Tammi; and his stepson Gary Sieg. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
